Service Description

“Therapeutic Behavior Management for High Schools” (TBM/High School) is a similar 6-7 hour course in crisis prevention skills, designed for staff working older middle and high school students, grades 6-12. (Updated May 2017). Core content. TBM/High School places a strong emphasis on balancing rules and relationships when handling behavior problems. The training includes decision making in crisis, using consequences wisely, understanding childhood trauma, de-escalating emotional situations, and improving adult self-awareness. Optional physical skills. An optional second day offers training in safe but assertive physical holds and escorts for administrators and behavioral or security staff.
